The Jessica is the more traditional of our two sofa beds. Same square-arm silhouette as the Emma, in raspberry velvet here, with two attached back cushions and two seat cushions, all upholstered to match. The frame sits low on a small dark plinth base, no skirts, no piping, no studs.

The conversion is the difference. Where the Emma rolls out one-handed in three seconds, the Jessica uses Sedac's Sedaflex 2 Fold action. Lift the seat cushions clear, unfold the mechanism in two stages, lay flat. It takes longer than the Emma but uses a different folding system that some customers prefer. Quieter mechanism, slightly firmer sleeping surface, more compact when stored. Worth choosing the Jessica if the sofa lives in a guest room and the bed is the main use, or if you prefer a flat folding action over a rolling one.

Inside is a Sedac mechanism, the family of actions we held UK distribution rights for from 1962 to 2020. Engineered in France for daily use rather than occasional guests.
