The Helsinki is the most practical ottoman in the range. The lid is divided into two separate sections rather than a single hinged top, so one half lifts on gas pistons while the other half stays closed. You can sit on one side and store on the other. You can leave one half permanently open as a tray surface. You can split the storage into two compartments inside, one for everyday access, one for things you don't need often.
The shape is plain throughout. No buttoning, no piping, no studs. Fully upholstered on every side, sitting flush to the floor with no visible legs. Quietly modern, more about what it does than how it looks.
It works at the foot of the bed where the split lid earns its keep daily. It works as a small bench where you sit on one side and keep slippers in the other. It works in a hallway, a child's room, or a dressing room.
