Ives Ottoman

The Ives differs from the rest of the ottoman range. The lid isn't buttoned and it isn't flat. Instead, it's finished with sewn pleats that create a soft, rolling, cloud-like surface across the full top. The pleating is loose and irregular, more relaxed than the tight diamond buttoning on the Chesterfield Ottoman or Farrow, and softer than the plain flat top on the Bourg or Helsinki.

If you've been comparing the Ives to the other ottomans in the range, this is the middle ground. Less formal than buttoning, more decorative than plain, with its own quiet personality. The sides are plain upholstered, and the whole piece sits on turned dark wood legs at every corner.

It works at the foot of a bed where you want softness without buttoned formality. It works in a hallway or under a window. The lid lifts to full-length storage inside.
