The Story
Twin cushion headboard. Soft, plump, no seam.
The Double Cushion is built from two padded cushion panels sitting side by side, the same shape family as the Cambridgeshire but without the Oxford seam. The edges are soft and unstitched, so the headboard reads fuller, rounder, more pillow than panel.
If you're choosing between Double Cushion and Cambridgeshire, the seam is the difference. Cambridgeshire has the defined Oxford edge, sharper and more architectural. Double Cushion is softer, plumper, more relaxed. Same twin-cushion shape, two finishes.
The footboard is low and rolled, the side rails clean, the legs short and dark. On the non storage base, the legs lift the bed off the floor. Choose ottoman or adjustable instead and the legs are removed, the base sits flush, and the full footprint becomes deep storage underneath.
Double Cushion is for the bedroom that wants softness without sharp lines. No wings, no studs, no seam, no period reference. Just a quiet, plush silhouette that does the work without asking for attention.
Crafted not assembled. Handmade to order in our British workshop by the same craftspeople who have supplied Britain's leading bed retailers for over two decades. Solid hardwood frame. FSC-certified timbers. Slats 3cm apart, rated for our heaviest natural-fill mattresses. SATRA-certified ottoman lift tested to 250kg, OKIN motors on the powered variant. 15 year frame guarantee. White glove delivery and assembly anywhere in mainland UK.
Made your way. Choose from over 100 fabrics across velvets, linens, bouclés and weaves. Eight sizes, single through Super King, with bespoke sizing on request.
